The first inflorescence in our range containing CBG or cannabigerol, the first and precious phytocannabinoid that develops in the plant and which performs its function as a base for the other compounds that the plant develops along its growth, with great pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. Its round, soft, tending to sweet aroma is its main feature in addition to its light green color and large, compact buds.
What is CBG?
CBG is part of the phytocannabinoids: these, unlike endocannabinoids, are not produced by the body, but by the cannabis plant.
CBG, interacting with the endocannabinoid system like other cannabinoids, also has potential in the therapeutic field. Studies dating back decades had demonstrated the inhibitory capacity in the absorption of aminobutyric acid (GABA), with consequent relaxing activities: for this reason, CBG could be useful in the treatment of anxiety and muscle tension.
More recently, CBG has been shown to be potentially effective against breast, skin and prostate cancer. Furthermore, the phytocannabinoid could represent an aid against psoriasis, since it inhibits the proliferation of keratinocytes. Other potential uses of CBG have been identified in the treatment of glaucoma, as it reduces intraocular pressure, and in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease and bladder dysfunction. Finally, the phytocannabinoid could be a promising solution as an antidepressant or as an anti-nausea drug.
